Hey loves! I hope the summertime is treating you well so far. I’ve been feeling really inspired lately and doing as much as I can to take this blog to the next level. I’ve decided to dedicate my summer to learning more about the fashion industry and the world of fashion blogging.
A great summertime read for aspiring fashion bloggers is a book written by fashion blogging royalty, Aimee Song (Instagram: @songofstyle). Her book has helped me gain a deeper understanding of the ins and outs of fashion blog photography, Instagram and much more.
I can’t wait to show you all the big changes I have planned for Destini Day. Buuut in the meantime, let’s talk about today’s outfit, shall we?
This striped top from Forever 21 may be one of my favorite pieces at the moment (warning: this is subject to change as it does quite frequently). It’s so versatile, making it such an easy piece to transform from day to night or business to casual. The loose fit also makes it nice and breezy for the scorching summer months.
It’s always been hard for me to find a jean skirt that didn’t make me feel like a 10-year-old, but I think I finally found the one. Since I’m like 90% legs, I don’t mind showing them off every now and then and this miniskirt provides the perfect opportunity.
My favorite part of this outfit has to be these gladiator sandals! Because I have these gigantic feet (I wear a size 11 for context), I usually shy away from low heels. I feel like they elongate my feet. Not cute.
But these shoes still manage to flatter my feet and they were too cute to pass up, They’re also available in a gorgeous cognac color, btw!
Let me know what you guys want to see next! Also, stay tuned for some changes very, very soon!
